Próspera Advances Education Innovation with the Education Summit 2026 in Roatán

Roatán, Bay Islands. To strengthen teachers’ skills and help improve education, Próspera Honduras Inc., in partnership with the Bay Islands Departmental Directorate of Education, held the Education Summit 2026, a forum for dialogue and professional development that brought together 100 teachers from different grade levels and specialties at Roatán’s public schools.
The event took place at the Beta District Dome in Próspera, giving teachers innovative tools to strengthen communication, well-being, and classroom practices and thereby support higher-quality education for island communities.
During the summit, Honduran teachers exchanged experiences and knowledge with renowned international education specialists from Spain and Costa Rica. Speakers included Ana Isabel Ramón Sánchez, an adviser to Spain’s Ministry of Education; Eleonora Badilla Saxe, a leader in education innovation and learning technologies; and Silvia Chacón Ramírez, an expert in instructional facilitation and curriculum design.
The agenda included talks and workshops on strengthening relationships between families and schools, using artificial intelligence in teaching, and applying new approaches to curriculum design.
The Education Summit was created with the vision of becoming an annual flagship event for teacher professional development in the Bay Islands, strengthening the relationship between the education sector and Próspera while promoting innovation, knowledge sharing, and growth across the region’s education ecosystem.
Through this initiative, Próspera Honduras reaffirms its commitment to developing human talent and creating opportunities that improve public education by investing in the continuing education of those entrusted with the future of new generations.
During the summit, Próspera Honduras Inc. launched the Seeds of Prosperity competition, an initiative designed to advance educational projects that benefit school communities. Bay Islanders with education projects are eligible to participate.
