Honduras Próspera Inc. boosts community education in Crawfish Rock with learning center

Honduras Próspera officially inaugurated the Próspera Learning Center

With the vision of strengthening the education and integral development of children and adolescents, the Próspera Learning Center is a space designed to offer complementary learning opportunities.. Próspera boosts education by also providing access to technological tools. This reaffirms how Próspera boosts education in the region.

These skills will enable children and youth, most of whom live in the community of Crawfish Rock, access to better job opportunities. This can be inside or outside the country. The Próspera Learning Center is located in the employment and economic development zone (ZEDE) of Próspera, developed by Honduras Próspera Inc. has already been serving more than 40 students between 6 and 17 years of age, free of charge, for several months. 

“The objective is to provide an inclusive space where students can reinforce their knowledge.. They can learn English and digital skills, and develop critical thinking,” explained Erick Brimen, CEO of Honduras Próspera Inc, promoter of this initiative. In this context, Próspera promotes education as part of its key mission.

The program operates Monday through Friday, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a practical methodology. It is focused on the development of linguistic, technological and social competencies. Teaching is academically supported by Pristine Academy.

In addition, the main components of the Próspera Learning Center are: English classes, with progressive teaching adapted to the age of the students. They also include digital literacy, promoting access to computers and the responsible use of technology. It includes school tutoring, to support young people in their academic tasks. Undoubtedly, Honduras Prospera Inc promotes the integral education of its students.

Medium term, the project contemplates the expansion of its service capacity. It plans to incorporate new educational modules such as robotics, leadership, art and entrepreneurship. In addition to consolidating alliances with academic institutions and social organizations.

“We want the Prospera Learning Center to become a replicable model of community education throughout the region.”, said Brimen. He emphasized that this effort reflects Prospera's commitment to education and community development in Roatan.
