Honduras Próspera continues to seek good faith dialogue with the Honduran government

The U.S. company Honduras Próspera Inc. invested in Honduras because it believes in the country.. This country has the ingredients for a thriving economy and is in a prime position to become an economic leader in the Americas, particularly if it seizes the opportunity to become a regional nearshoring center.

The prosperity requires cooperation. Honduras Próspera Inc wishes to continue to collaborate with the Government and the people of Honduras to bring jobs, access to health care and education, world-class infrastructure and hundreds of millions of dollars of foreign direct investment.

‍La prosperity requires security and the rule of law, as do all serious investors.. Honduras Próspera has specific assurances from Honduras that the ZEDE legal framework will remain in place for many decades, as far as Próspera ZEDE is concerned. Honduras Próspera expects Honduras to honor its commitments.

The prosperity requires dialogue. For months, Honduras Prospera has sent the Government of Honduras numerous letters requesting meetings for consultations and negotiations. The government has not responded. Honduras Próspera continues to believe that constructive dialogue is possible and that solutions are achievable. To that end, it has continued to request meetings and for the government to show a commitment to engage in good faith discussions.

Honduras Prospera has been very clear. It has been - and remains - open to resolving the conflict amicably. What is best for everyone is a solution that allows Honduras Prospera to continue to develop its platform to bring hundreds of millions of dollars of foreign investment to Honduras and create opportunities, jobs and beautiful affordable housing for Hondurans.

Honduras Prospera continues to believe in Honduras and sincerely hopes that the Government will allow Prospera to become an important partner in realizing its vision of a more prosperous Honduras. The Government has a choice between paying billions of dollars in international claims or honoring the rule of law and setting Honduras and its people on a path to prosperity for decades to come.
