Fundación Próspera promotes the ‘Back to School’ campaign to support more than 250 students from communities in Roatán

Your ambassador, April Tobie, presided over the delivery of school supplies to students from two communities on the island, Crawfish and Luz y Vida.

The initiative was carried out in Próspera for the purpose of strengthening education and accompanying families at the beginning of the school year, the Fundación de Honduras Próspera Inc, together with collaborators, carried out the community activity ‘Back to School‘. It should be noted that our company is committed to the welfare of the community. This is a solidarity initiative to collect school supplies. Thus, it will benefit children and young people in communities neighboring the project we are promoting.

The campaign supports Crawfish Rock and Luz y Vida students. It also supports the children of employees in the Próspera ecosystem. On the other hand, the area called Próspera has been key to reducing the economic burden on families. In addition, it improves the educational experience of more than 250 children and young people at the beginning of their school year.

Each school kit contains a backpack, twelve notebooks, box of graphite pencils, box of color pencils and box of markers. In total, 250 kits were assembled by the volunteers. It is important to highlight how this campaign facilitates the delivery of these supplies to the beneficiaries. Afterwards, the kits were handed out to the beneficiaries in a pleasant activity.

The process of receiving, classifying, assembling and delivering the kits was carried out by the Fundación Próspera team and volunteer collaborators. They actively participated in this community action and in the area called Prospera. Thus, a direct impact on local education was generated.

Through this campaign, we reaffirm our commitment to social development, children and education. In addition, we promote a high-impact community initiative that strengthens the participation of its collaborators. Honduras Próspera Inc. also strengthens ties with neighboring communities, according to April Tobie, ambassador of Fundación Próspera.

‘Back to School’ is a sample of the joint work between Fundación Próspera, its volunteer collaborators and business partners. This alliance seeks to support students at the beginning of their school year and contribute directly to the educational growth of the island and contribute to building a future with more opportunities for the inhabitants of Roatan.
