Legal Engineering Summit 2023 brings together the brightest minds in crypto and law

Prospera, InfinitaVC and LexDAO are teaming up to host the first Legal Engineering Summit 2023. This event is designed specifically for legal hackers, crypto-lawyers, jurisdictional polymaths and companies that want to create better laws for doing business.
“Legal innovation is normally a rare occurrence. At Prospera, the flexible legal framework allows for continuous improvement. That is unprecedented,” said Niklas Anzinger of InfinitaVC. “The Summit is an invitation for legal innovators to build the foundation for a thriving crypto/web3 industry”. The Legal Engineering Summit is a high-level working event, where attendees will have the opportunity to focus on their work in collaboration with other legal experts.
The agenda has been designed with this in mind, but attendees are welcome to stay longer and enjoy the beautiful island of Roatan, where the event is being held. “Prospera aspires to be the best jurisdiction in the world for the cryptocurrency/web3 industry, and we welcome the best ideas on how to achieve this with a strong legal framework,” said Chris Wilson of Prospera.
The Legal Engineering Summit will feature a competition for the best legal proposals for blockchain, digital assets and distributed registries to make Prospera the most innovation-friendly private international law jurisdiction in the world. Winners will be chosen by Prospera General Counsel Nick Dranias and LexDAO's Kyle Smith, and three prizes will be awarded: the first will be $1,000 plus $500 in Prospera Tax Credits (PTC).
The Legal Engineering Summit is an important event precisely now that some countries are becoming increasingly hostile to cryptocurrencies. Prospera believes that a decentralized financial system based on cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology is the right goal and aims to build a safe space for innovations with responsible legal controls.
